An educator, researcher and design professional, Jameson brings an academic approach and award-winning experience to the smdp team. With a background in architecture and planning, he is an advocate for Landscape Architecture in the Urban Environment and sees it as the main agent for the reorganization and development of our cities and their systems.
Prior to joining smdp, Jameson worked as a researcher and designer at the Univ. of Toronto’s Center for Landscape Research, looking at infrastructure in post-Katrina New Orleans, the relationship of public transportation and urbanization in Toronto, the use of vegetation for augmenting architectural structures, and low-impact stormwater management systems. Jameson taught graduate courses on site engineering and visual communications in Toronto and helped develop and teach a course in representation at IIT. He also has professional experience on commercial and residential projects of all scales across the United States and abroad.
